02 Mar Hiking to the unknown Cala Llentrisca
Es Cubells. A town I heard about but never actually went to, yet, rumours were that this little town houses a beautiful trail that leads all the way to a hidden beach and Es Vedra. It was time to find out and so we jumped in our little hike mobile and set course to the South of Ibiza. The rumours appeared to be true! After arriving at Es Cubells which took us quite a long time we parked our car and were immediately treated with a great view at the starting point of our hike. The hike had a lot of elevation for Ibiza. Duc and Raf however, enjoyed it a lot. When the sweat was pouring over my face because of steep climbs and loose rocks, Duc was hovering and jumping around like the happiest dog in the world. All the good views made up for the hard work though. Cala Llentrisca was the first stop and this hidden bay is definitely a recommendation for everyone how likes to visit a quite beach in Summer. I bet there won’t be crowds there in August due to the little hike you need to make before you arrive to this secluded bay. Later on, we were enjoying some solid views over Es Vedra while having a good zip of water (as we just had another steep climb) before going for the final and most challenging ascent. After all this up, up, up it was now time to hike back down to the town of Es Cubells on a relaxed pace while enjoying the forest. This hike felt like a work out and it was a great one to do!
